DIY - reversible romper sack
Hannah Dahle
Instructions for a reversible romper sack.
I'm Hannah and in this tutorial I'll show you how to sew a swaddle for babies without a pattern.
The cozy sleeping bag even has two sides, so you can easily turn it over depending on your mood and needs.
In my instructions, I attach great importance to explaining each step in such a way that even beginners can understand everything. I also give you useful sewing tips and fabric recommendations.
Fabric recommendation
I got all my fabrics from our family-run fabric shop. www.leinenlodge.de
Stretchy fabrics
Stretchy fabrics such as jersey are particularly suitable for this project, as this makes the sleeping bag even more flexible and comfortable.
Non-stretch fabrics
Especially in summer, airy and breathable fabrics are great. Examples include muslin, linen or bamboo terry cloth.
In this case, you can simply sew the bag another 10 cm wider. ((Waist circumference x 1.5) : 2 = xy + 10 cm)
Fabrics that have an organic, GOTS or Oeko-Tex 100 product class 1 certificate are also ideal. I'll link you to some fabrics here that meet all of these requirements.

Make yourself comfortable
In addition to the sewing itself, my main focus is on us spending a good time together. I want to encourage you to make yourself really comfortable and to approach the project in a relaxed manner. Maybe you want to make yourself a tea, prepare a snack, light candles... Whatever it is that gives you a feeling of security and calm, integrate it into your sewing routine.
