Velour

Strictly speaking, velor is just the French name for velvet. In fact, the textiles are often confused and the boundaries become blurred.

In textile terms, however, velor has a longer pile than velvet and is therefore the softer fabric of the two. The area of application is as diverse as the material qualities. The umbrella term velor includes materials ranging from imitation leather for furniture or costumes to cuddly soft velour, which is often sewn for pajamas and jogging pants.
